30 years of GVB: An unforgettable anniversary weekend in Oslo!

A 30th anniversary is a special occasion that deserves to be celebrated. The GVB family had the perfect opportunity to celebrate this milestone with an unforgettable trip to Oslo.

It was a time of gratitude, joy and community. We would like to take this opportunity to express our heartfelt thanks to all employees, partners, customers and everyone who has contributed and continues to contribute to our success.

Friday: Setting off on an adventure

Before boarding the ferry on Friday, we took the opportunity to stroll around Kiel Week in the best weather. Kiel Week, one of the biggest sailing events in the world, gave us a fantastic introduction to the upcoming trip and was a perfect start to our anniversary weekend.

Boarding on the ColorLine

The excitement and anticipation grew

In the afternoon, we boarded the impressive ColorLine ferry in Kiel. As soon as we boarded the ship, we could feel the excitement and anticipation of the days ahead. The ferry trip offered us a great opportunity to spend time together away from the daily routine of work. We sang our favorite songs, danced, laughed and enjoyed the delicious food. The atmosphere was full of joy and fellowship. Games were played, deep conversations were had and friendships were strengthened.

Particularly touching was an inspiring speech that reminded us all how far we have come together. The many lovely gifts we received were the icing on the cake of this wonderful evening. A big thank you goes to our organizer, who planned this event perfectly with a lot of dedication and attention to detail.

Saturday: Arrival in the enchanting city of Oslo

After a restful night on the ferry, we arrived in beautiful Oslo on Saturday morning. The city greeted us with its clear air and breathtaking view of the Oslo Fjord.

We started the day with a city tour, which took us to some of the most famous sights.

Oslo Opera House:

An architectural masterpiece that lies in the water like a floating iceberg and impresses us with its modern elegance

Vigeland Sculpture Park:

A unique park that houses the works of Gustav Vigeland. The more than 200 sculptures tell stories about human life in all its facets.

Holmenkollen ski jump:

A symbol of Norwegian ski culture, which offered us a breathtaking panoramic view over Oslo and the surrounding forests.

Royal castle:

The majestic residence of the Norwegian royal family, surrounded by a beautiful park that invites you to linger.

Oslo showed itself from its best side and gave us unforgettable impressions. The evening was another highlight: we watched the DFB team's soccer match against Denmark together. We cheered for every goal and enjoyed our time together. It was an evening full of excitement and joy that brought our community even closer together.

Sunday: Farewell and return to Bad Segeberg

Sunday came sooner than expected and it was time to pack our bags and say goodbye to Oslo. But before we set off on our return journey, we spent some quality time together. We listened to music, ate together and reflected on the wonderful experiences of the last few days. It was especially nice to watch the soccer match together and let the evening come to a relaxed end.

The return journey offered another opportunity to admire the impressive fjords and the majestic landscape.

We enjoyed the last few hours on the ferry in glorious sunshine before making our way back to Bad Segeberg.

Monday: Back at GVB

We arrived back in our beautiful Schleswig-Holstein on Monday morning, a little tired but full of new impressions and memories.

We arrived at GVB a little late and resumed our daily work routine on Tuesday. But the memories of this unforgettable weekend in Oslo will stay with us and motivate us for a long time to come.

We would also like to take this opportunity to thank our colleagues who stayed at home for various reasons and held down the fort. Your commitment and support are invaluable and have made it possible for us to celebrate this anniversary without any worries.

Thank you very much!

A look into the future

The last 30 years have been a remarkable journey of growth, innovation and success for GVB. Not only have we continuously expanded our business, but we have also forged valuable partnerships and friendships.

Looking to the future, we are determined to continue offering the highest quality and excellent service. Exciting projects and new goals are on our agenda, and we look forward to tackling them with the same commitment and passion that has characterized us for three decades.

A huge thank you to everyone who made this trip so special. Your support and commitment have made this milestone possible. We look forward to many more successful years and unforgettable experiences together.
