A new warehouse for GVB with solar panels

We have recently opened a new warehouse. The new hall was built directly onto our existing one and offers us more space for our growing business.

Our warehouse now has 110 square meters more and thus grows to 700 square meters, providing us with 25 more pallet spaces instead of the previous 45 spaces. Like our previous warehouse, it is also equipped with a chaotic storage system.

To give you a brief explanation, chaotic warehousing is used to optimize the available storage space. The items and goods to be stored are stored in different, free storage locations with the help of software.

The new warehouse will enable us to stock items in larger quantities to further improve our delivery times for your products. This will enable us to process orders more quickly and deliver the goods to you even faster.

As we are always on the lookout for new opportunities when it comes to sustainability, we have decided to install solar panels on the roof of the new hall. These will produce approx. 1,000 kWh per month, i.e. a total output of 12,000 kWh per year, and everything we don't use will be fed into Bad Segeberg's shared electricity grid.

To give you an idea of the kilowatt hours mentioned, we would like to give you a few examples. With one kil owatt hour you can produce 70 cups of coffee / 9 liters of tea or listen to the radio for 100 hours.

We are proud of the opening of our new warehouse, as it represents another milestone in our company history.

We therefore look forward to supplying you with our products even faster and more efficiently in the future.

PS: the solar panels are to be installed at the beginning of the year. (as of December 2023)
